Samara State Technical University received the status of the supporting university of the region after combining educational and scientific activities with Samara State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.
The combined university comprises 13 faculties, 6 institutes, 50 educational, scientific, engineering and expert centers, more than 30 specialized departments.
The University provides educational programmes at all levels of higher education in the fields of Production, Transportation and Processing of Oil and Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical Technology, Materials Science, Metallurgy and Mechanical Engineering, Energetics, Biotechnology, Transport and Food Industries, Conversion Technologies, Architectural and Urban Design, Construction Engineering and Technology, Architectural and Construction Materials Science, Road, Bridge and Tunnel Construction and Maintenance, Construction Project Safety, Fire Safety, Urban and Industrial Water Supply, Housing and Utilities Sector Operation, Industrial Ecology, Technosphere Safety, Measurements and Standards, Information Systems and Technologies, Instrumentation, Automation and Control in Technical Systems, Vocational Education and Training, Production Management, Quality and Design Control.
The University staff is more than 3400 employees, more than 1.2 thousand people of which are scientific-pedagogical staff, including 170 Doctors of Science and 728 PhDs. Every year more than 40% of the teachers improve their professional skills, including according to the programmes of leading Russian and foreign scientific and educational centers. Within the framework of educational and scientific cooperation scientists and experts are brought from Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Taiwan, Poland, Great Britain, Argentina.
The University is a locus of concentration of regional competences and strategies for regional development. It has advanced technologies in the spheres of education and science, highly skilled teaching staff capacity. It participates directly in the research, innovation, industrial and cluster region policy formation. |

Togliatti State University is a city-forming university, a key higher education institution of Togliatti. Togliatti State University was established on May 29, 2001 by the Order of the Russian Federation government. The new university was established as a result of a merger of two higher education institutions: Togliatti Polytechnic Institute (founded in 1951) and Togliatti Branch of Samara State Pedagogical University (founded in 1988).
Togliatti State University comprises 13 institutes providing higher education humanities, science higher education and technical higher education; pedagogical higher education, engineering higher education. Presently, more than 12,000 students study in the university. More than 100 professors and doctors of sciences together with 450 associate professors and candidates ensure high-quality of education for more than 100 educational programs (admission is conducted on 70 Bachelor’s programmes, 55 specialist programmes, 39 Master’s programmes). On the University basis a regional center for computing education, a center of new information technologies, Intel Learning Center, authorized Microsoft Center “Tvoi mir”, authorized centers of ProcessFlow and Delcam companies, equipped with modern computer equipment and software products, including more than 2 million personal computers, among which are a 200-processor and 32-processor compute clusters for high-performance parallel computing, were established.

REC “High-energy combined technologies in mechanical engineering”; REC “Welding”; REC “Energy-efficient and low-toxic internal combustion engines and heating plants”; REC “Intelligent instrumentation and control systems”; REC “Testing area of nanotechnology and nanomaterials”; REC on Technical sciences; REC on Mechanics, Mechanical Engineering, Vibroacoustics and reliability of mechanical systems.
Togliatti State University has created a network of specialized departments on PJSC “AVTOVAZ” and companies, producing automotive components. Teaching is conducted directly on companies’ premises and practice-oriented training is accomplished on factories’ material and technical resources.

Cluster development center was established in August, 2010. It is a subdivision of Samara region SAI (State Autonomous Institution) “Center of Innovative Development and Cluster Initiatives”. The goal of Cluster development center is the creation of conditions for effective interaction of the organizations which take part in the programmes of innovative regional clusters development, educational and scientific institutions, non-profit and non-governmental organizations, public and municipal authorities, investors for region cluster development and implementation support of region cluster development projects.

Technopark in the sphere of high technologies Zhiguli Valley
|
Technopark in the sphere of high technologies Zhiguli Valley is a territory of integration of scientific, educational, financial institutions, enterprises, entrepreneurs, public authorities and consolidation of their efforts in terms of organizing support to the producers of innovative items.
The main objective of technopark is providing support to projects and companies working in the sphere of innovations and high technologies.
The activity directions of technopark are defined in accordance with the key areas of modernization of the Russian economy and consider the specific character of the sectoral specialization of the region. It is information and communication technologies, energy efficiency and energy conservation, transport and space research, the chemistry and the development of new materials, biotechnology and medicine.
Technopark Zhiguli Valley is one of the largest technoparks in Russia in the sphere of high technologies. The total area of its premises is more than 67 thousand sq. m. The infrastructure of industrial park fully meets the needs of innovative and high-tech companies for the realization of their projects and includes social and business center for major business events, office, laboratory and production facilities, logistics center, a business incubator, a private hotel and restaurant service.
In 2014 technopark Zhiguli Valley was admitted to the International Association of Science Parks - "IASP" and is currently its full member.
At the end of 2015 technopark Zhiguli Valley was successfully accredited by the Association of organization of clusters and technoparks development (Association “C&T”) for compliance with the National Standard of the Russian Federation “Technopark. Requirements” GOST 56425 - 2015 and confirmed the status of the technopark in the sphere of high technologies, which is a “quality mark” of Togliatti Park and it guarantees the quality of its services. |

Special economic zone of industrial-production type “Togliatti”

Joint stock company “Special economic zone of industrial-production type “Togliatti” (abbr. JSC SEZ “Togliatti”) is located within the territory of the municipal district Stavropolsky of the Samara region in the proximity of Togliatti, technopark Zhiguli Valley, production areas of AvtoVAZ - Renault – Nissan alliance, and GM-AvtoVAZ. The special economic zone is the territory determined by the Russian Government, on which a special mode of entrepreneurial activities acts. The launch of the first stage of SEZ was held in 2015, the completion of the second stage is planned for 2017, the construction of the third stage - for 2016, 3 lines - for 2018. For residents of the SEZ the establishment of all necessary infrastructure components - electric and gas utilities, roads, communication networks, water supply and water removal are envisaged. Industrial Park Preobrazhenka is a complex controlled by a single operator (managing company of JSC Technopark) consisting of land with the production, administration, warehousing and other facilities and installations, provided with energy sources, engineering and transport infrastructure, administrative and legal conditions for production location in the Samara region.
The anchor resident of the industrial park Preobrazhenka is Robert Bosch Samara LLC - a subsidiary company of one of the largest manufacturers of automotive components in the world of Robert Bosch GmbH.

Industrial Park Chapaevsk is a modern platform for the start of production on the territory of the Samara region. The availability of utilities system provides an opportunity to implement the project as soon as possible.
Industrial Park Chapaevsk is located within the boundaries of Chapaevsk, Samara region, along the R226 highway (Samara-Pugachev-Engels-Volgograd). Also within easy reach are federal roads A300 and M5 “Ural”. The industrial park “Chapaevsk” creation and development project is implemented by a specialist management company JSC “Technopark” and the Ministry of Economic Development, Investments and Trade of Samara Region.
