JSC Battery plant named after N.M. Ignatiev – AKOM became the Benefactor of the Year

On December 25, in Tolyatti, the Battery Plant named after N. M. Ignatiev – AKOM was awarded in the category "Benefactor of the Year among Legal Entities" on the results of 2019.

The purpose of this annual city competition is to revive and preserve historical traditions of charity in Russia, the Samara region and the city of Tolyatti.

The award ceremony began with a minute of silence in memory of the benefactors who passed away in 2020 and who had to receive the award this day. During the lifetime the title of "Benefactor of the Year 2019" was awarded to Nikolai Ignatiev – the President of the AKOM Group of companies, the President of the Union of Employers of the Samara Region, a member of the Board of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. He was a member of the Board of Trustees of the City Charitable Foundation "Togliatti Foundation" and all charitable activities of the company took place under his personal control.

The organizers of the competition (the administration of Togliatti, the Union "Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Togliatti" and "Togliatti Foundation") told that Nikolai Ignatiev was a talented and professional leader. They noted that the AKOM plant has got a leading position in the Russian market and became famous abroad under his leadership. N. M. Ignatiev made a significant contribution to the Samara region economy.

For more than 10 years, JSC Battery plant named after N.M. Ignatiev-AKOM annually participates in charitable activities for the city and region development, supporting its citizens by a number of cultural, sports and educational projects support.
