Cluster members develop skills in the practical application of MSA techniques and tools

The Cluster conducted the training Measurement system analysis (MSA).

The purpose of this educational program was to gain basic knowledge about the MSA methods in terms of efficient work organization on measurement processes statistical analysis in order to make conclusions about the acceptability of the measurement process for measurement purposes.

During the training, the participants gained knowledge about the MSE methodology and its implementation algorithm, studied the initial motivation of technical and production departments for MSA implementation. Also, participants analyzed a set of measures aimed at decision making on the acceptability of the measurement process for measurement purposes.

The training included:

- introduction to MSA. MSA goals;

- key statistics and charts used in MSA. MSA terminology;

- method of bias estimation. Method of linear bias estimation. Methods for detecting non-linear bias;

- analysis of repeatability (convergence) and reproducibility (R&R) of the measurement system;

- control processes analysis.

At the end of the training, practical work and final testing were carried out.
