ACCESS MECHANISM (U-SHIN) Supplier Day

On September 18, ACCESS MECHANISM (U-SHIN) Supplier Day took place in the format of a video conference followed by B2B. The event was organized by the Cluster of Automotive Industry, Alliance Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi and ACCESS MECHANISM (U-SHIN).

The global supplier U-SHIN specializes in the manufacture of door latches and lock sets. Worldwide, the company has 24 factories in 17 countries. In Russia, it is represented by an enterprise in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Production of AKM LLC was launched in March 2011 for projects of such OEMs as Mazda, Renault, PSA Groupe, and Volkswagen.

13 representatives from 10 suppliers from 7 regions of the Russian Federation attended the Supplier Day.

The program of the event consisted of a general part in the format of a video conference, including welcoming words from purchasing manager of APO RUS LLC Maria Pershina, procurement manager of ACCESS MECHANISM Eduard Smirnov and general director of the Cluster of Automotive Industry Andrey Kraynov, presentation of ACCESS MECHANISM’s plans for localization in Russia, requirements for tier-2 suppliers and online B2B negotiations.

At this stage, an NDA will be sent to all suppliers participating in the event to conduct a deeper study of localization.
