PSA GROUPE SUPPLIER DAY

PSA Groupe Supplier Day was held in Togliatti on March 12. The event was organized by Cluster of Automotive Industry and PSA Groupe with the support of the Government of the Samara Region, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Samara Region, the Ministry of Economic Development and Investments of the Samara Region.

 

The global car manufacturer PSA Groupe has been planning the localization of the assembly and production of DV6 diesel engines at the PCMA RUS plant in Kaluga since 2021. In this regard, PSA Groupe, in partnership with Cluster of Automotive Industry, conducted a search for potential suppliers of components for these engines in the Samara Region and surrounding regions.

 

The companies that were invited to the Supplier Day received the needs of PSA Groupe with a description of the components and estimated annual consumption of each particular part from 2021 to 2025.

 

As a result, the event in Togliatti brought together 31 suppliers who represent both the automotive component sector and related industries. In total, 55 representatives of manufacturing enterprises attended the PSA Groupe Supplier Day.

 

The program of the event consisted of a general part, including presentations, an exhibition of product samples of the event participants - potential suppliers, an exhibition of the DV6 diesel engine assy, as well as its components and B2B.

 

During the presentation part, welcome words were made by: Andrey Kraynov, General Director of Cluster of Automotive Industry, Benoit MEUTELET, Engine project leader Eurasia, PSA Groupe, Andrey LIFANOV, Program Purchasing Manager – Engine, PCMA Rus.

 

The participants of the event had a particular interest in the exhibition of product samples, in which 21 potential suppliers of PSA Groupe took part.

 

During the business part, representatives of PSA Groupe and Cluster of Automotive Industry held 41 business meetings with suppliers.

 

PSA Groupe Supplier Day was held in an active business atmosphere, the participants received the necessary information support for the further promotion of their products to the PSA Groupe, which in turn expressed interest to increase purchases of high-quality components made in Russia. In the future, a similar event is planned in Nizhny Novgorod with the active support of Cluster of Automotive Industry.
