PСMA Rus started the export of diesel engines to Western Europe

The first supply of Euro-5 diesel engines made in Kaluga plant began to Western Europe. In the coming months, the geography will expand to Latin America, and North Africa. Export supply outside of Russia will become weekly, according to the Stellantis press service.

In July,  following the strategy of long-term development in the Eurasia region and business expansion beyond, the Stellantis Group announced the creation of an export hub for the supply of cars and engines to Europe, Latin America, and North Africa based on the PCMA Rus plant in Kaluga. In addition, it was decided to localize the Fiat Scudo model at the facilities of PCMA Rus, intended for export. Production of the Russian- assembly Fiat Scudo will begin before the end of 2022.

Currently, Stellantis has already launched several key production projects in Russia at the Kaluga plant and increased production volumes by 400% in the first nine months of 2021. Thus, this year PCMA Rus has introduced a new platform for the production of mini vans and compact vans Peugeot, Citroen, and Opel. Besides, PCMA Rus launched a serial assembly of export-oriented diesel engines that will be locally installed on models: Peugeot 408/Citroen C4 sedan, Peugeot Expert vans, Citroen Jumpy, Opel Vivaro, Peugeot Partner mini vans, Citroen Berlingo, Opel Combo Cargo, Peugeot Partner Crossway cars, Citroen Berlingo Multispace, and Opel Combo Life.
