The Government of the Russian Federation approved the rules for subsidies to radio electronics manufacturers

Resolution No. 1252 of July 24, 2021.

Developers of the electronic component base (ECB) and modules based on it will be able to receive federal subsidies. The procedure and terms for providing such support were approved by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

This is about the development and production of electronics of the wide range of applications-from components and modules for cars and household appliances to neuroprocessors for artificial intelligence systems that can be used in medical equipment and computer technology.

Subsidies can be received for projects that will be developed within five years. The amount of the subsidy is up to 1.5 billion rubles per year. Due to state support, manufacturers will be able to reimburse up to 90% of the costs. Money can be invested in research and products development, employee remuneration, equipment and creation of high-tech workplaces, production of product prototypes and its pilot batches.

The company applying for subsidies must make a commitment that the revenue from the implementation of the developed modules will be at least the amount of the received subsidy. The revenue from the developed ECB – at least half of the subsidy.

In order to receive state support, companies will have to pass a competitive selection. Its procedure will be published on the website of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The collection of applications is scheduled to be completed by September 1.

In 2021, the federal budget provides 3 billion rubles for subsidies to ECB developers. The work is carried out within the framework of the state program "Development of the electronic and radio-electronic industry".
