Nicolas Maure is appointed President of AvtoVAZ

Moscow. June 1. INTERFAX.RU - Nicolas Maure headed AvtoVAZ JSC in 2016-2018, returned to the post of the company president. At the same time, he retained the position of executive director of Renault Group operations in Russia and the CIS, which he has held since May 1.

The decision to replace Yves Karakatsanis with Nicolas Maure was made by the Board of Directors of AvtoVAZ in mid-April.

Yves Karakatsanis has been the head of AvtoVAZ since June 2018. His new job and position will be announced later.

After leaving the post of the president of AvtoVAZ in 2018, Nicolas Maure headed the company's board of directors, then he became Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Renault in the Eurasia region. In September 2020, he was appointed to the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Executive Officer for the transformation of the Renault Group.

The owner of 100% of JSC AvtoVAZ is the Dutch company Alliance Rostec Auto B.V.- the joint venture of Rostec (32%) and Renault Group (68%).
