Dynamics of the Russian automotive industry production for the first quarter of 2021

April 27, Moscow. – According to Rosstat, the growth of production of Russian cars for the three months of 2021 was 13.7% by comparison with the same period. 402.8 thousand cars were manufactured. Passenger cars production increased by 12.1% (360.3 thousand units), trucks by 27.1% (15.7 thousand units) and light commercial vehicles by 37.7% (24.1 thousand units).

Leaders among the Russian manufacturers of passenger cars:

• AVTOVAZ, Togliatti (growth 22,6%; 1st quarter of 2020 – 75,7 ths. cars 1st quarter of 2021 – 92,9 ths. cars)
• Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Rus, Saint Petersburg (growth 6,7%; 1st quarter of 2020 – 57,6 ths. cars, 1st quarter of 2021 – 61,5 ths. cars)
• LADA IZHEVSK, Izhevsk (growth 28,5%; 1st quarter of 2020 – 26,1 ths. cars, 1st quarter of 2021 – 33,6 ths. cars)
• Renault Russia, Moscow (growth 32,4%; 1st quarter of 2020 – 15,1 ths. cars, 1st quarter of 2021 – 20,1 ths. cars)

Leaders among the Russian manufacturers of trucks:

• KAMAZ, Naberezhnye Chelny (growth 32%; 1st quarter of 2020 – 7,4 ths. cars, 1st quarter of 2021 – 9,8 ths. cars)
• GAZ, Nizhny Novgorod (growth 29%; 1st quarter of 2020 – 1,7 ths. cars, 1st quarter of 2021 – 2,2 ths. cars)

Leaders among Russian manufacturers of light commercial vehicles:

• GAZ, Nizhny Novgorod (growth 18,7%; 1st quarter of 2020 – 9,5 ths. cars, 1st quarter of 2021 – 11,3 ths. cars)
• UAZ, Ulyanovsk (growth 117,3%; 1st quarter of 2020 – 1,7 ths. cars, 1st quarter of 2021 – 3,8 ths. cars)
